Mathura Peda is a North Indian sweet dish that originated from Mathura also known as Braj Bhoomi. In Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, Mathura peda is a favourite offering. Janmashtami celebration is considered incomplete without Mathura Peda. It is made by cooking together fresh mawa, milk, sugar and cardamom powder.
